The X-Files: 10 Things We Learned From Mulder And Scully Meet The Were-Monster
5. The Lighting Is Still A Tad Off
Sure, there's always a complaint. One thing that we learned from Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster is that, three episodes into the revival, the show still hasn't quite found the right look and atmosphere, and it's mostly because of the lighting. Maybe it's the sad reality of modern television - a show as (literally) dark as the original X-Files just won't be accepted by viewers - but we'd still like to see more darkness, more shadow, more lighting the scene with flashlights. If it was just this quirky episode, it wouldn't be so concerning, but the first two episodes suffered from the same problem, so there's a chance the entire batch won't find the correct look. Fingers crossed. Bonus note: in the example shot above, that's Kumail Nanjiani - actor, and X-Files superfan. It's his podcast on the show that helped spark the current revival, which also earned him a role in the show.
