Appeared in: Season 4, Episode 12 - "Leonard Betts" Cancer is one of the great plagues of the human species, something that should realistically scare all of us, because you never really know if you're going to get it. Thus it shouldn't be surprising that a character who both feeds on cancer, and essentially is cancer, should creep us out. Leonard Betts appears in a season four episode bearing his own name, and honestly, initially comes off as a decent guy - an EMT who is incredibly good at his job and saving lives. Then he's tragically killed in a traffic accident while on the job, resulting in him being decapitated. And all is well (though sad) until his body gets up and walks out of the morgue. Then he grows a new head. While this is in the realm of the bizarre, quite firmly really, he doesn't really creep us out until it's discovered that he's willing to kill the closest thing he has to a friend in order to hide the fact that he's a cancer-eating mutant who is basically a walking collection of tumours. He then goes from oddity to creepy killer, and by the time we discover his stash of snacks (cancerous tissue and growths), and that he's willing to feast on his own mother's cancerous flesh, we're completely revolted by him. Oh, and did we mention he's able to create husk-like clone versions of himself, in a process at least visibly similar to a snake shedding its skin? Gross.
