The X-Files: 15 Guest Stars Who Made It Big

2. Ryan Reynolds (Season 3, Episode 13: Syzygy)

On The X-Files: Originally airing on January 26, 1996, Syzygy sees Mulder and Scully investigating a possible link between Satanic cultism and the murders of high school students in a town under the influence of a rare planetary alignment. Ryan Reynolds plays the ill-fated Jay DeBoom, a jock with poor taste in blondes. Most Memorable Moment: DeBoom realizes that blonde BFFs Terri and Margi are feeling more murderous than amorous in the front of his pickup truck. How Ryan Reynolds Made It Big: Despite the fact that he was a local Vancouver discovery whose character died almost immediately on The X-Files, Ryan Reynolds shot to stardom. After four seasons on ABC's Two Guys And A Girl, Reynolds made the jump to film as lead in National Lampoon's Van Wilder in 2002. He's since dabbled in both Marvel and D.C. on screen, playing Wade Wilson in 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Hal Jordan in 2011's Green Lantern. With 2009's romantic comedy "The Proposal" under his belt and a Deadpool feature in 2016, Reynolds has come a very long way since The X-Files.
