8. Why Bring In A Doctor Only To Shoot The Thing In The Back?
It seems like this creature was wearing his intergalactic seat belt. At least he survived the UFO crash. Then the military shot him in the back - after they went out of their way to bring a doctor on site. At least the episode - and the character himself - essentially posited this question during the scene. Why bring in a doctor just to execute the survivors? And did this creature know the danger it was in, and that its end was nigh? Did it recognize that mankind's first instinct would not to be to communicate, but to shoot first, ask questions later? Were his last thoughts of a home orbiting some ancient foreign star?
