19. It Begins On A Friday

The trailer begins with a voice over: "It will probably start on a Friday. What will seem like an attack on America by terrorists or Russia. Driven by a well oiled, well armed and multi-national group of elites using alien technology that our government's been hiding for seventy years." That voice over is Tad O'Malley, a right wing radio host character portrayed by actor Joel McHale. Though he's listed on IMDB in all six new episodes, it's unclear just how broad his role will be. What is clear is that a) the alien colonization plot will be addressed, and b) it's very much a global story at this point. That flag in the riots pictured is that of the Ukranian Insurgent Army, flown in Kosovo. It's also interesting to note that Russia is being lumped in as a scapegoat antagonist: with its recent actions, it's once again a suitable "bad guy" in show business, albeit just as a front for alien invasion in this case.
