11 Things You Totally Missed In Friends
7. The Doodle
There were many things in Joey and Chandler's apartment that became key props for the show, such as the chairs, and entertainment unit, and Pat the dog. One of the best, though, is a little sight gag often just seen in the background, the Magna Doodle on the door.
It was actually the job of the crew to draw these doodles, which fans would look into for hidden meaning, and largely fell to a man from the electric crew by the name of Paul Swain. He drew the majority of doodles seen throughout the show, although he never received credit for it, making him something of an unsung hero.
The first doodle to appear said 'Joey call your dad', and the last one was a picture of a volcano, while it played an important part in The One With Mac and CHEESE as Chandler doesn't properly write the message for Joey to let him know about the audition. Gloriously, a Friends fansite has a list of all the doodles from the show.
