Titans: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best
1. Dick Grayson/Robin
Titans has a way of taking everything that we thought we knew about a character and throwing it out the window - and that was never clearer than it was in the case of Dick Grayson.
A notoriously optimistic character in the vast majority of stories, Titans' iteration of the Boy Wonder couldn't have been further from what we expected, and yet it worked to perfection. The formerly heroic character had spent too much time in The Dark Knight's shadow and, as a result, had become a twisted extension of Batman - losing himself in the very darkness he was trying to stop.
This arc allowed the season to document Dick's journey as he navigated his way between light and darkness - maintaining the morals that made Robin such a great hero and yet constantly allowing himself to be seduced by his demons.
An authentic portrayal of Dick Grayson, Brenton Thwaites' thoroughly compelling endeavour situated the character at the top of the show and reminded us that, while he's not exactly Robin anymore, he isn't quite ready to become the heroic Nightwing either. That said, it doesn't matter which variation he is portraying because, when all is said done, it's impossible to take your eyes off him.
