Titans Season 2: 3 Ups & 3 Downs From 'E.L._.O.'

Titans' latest episode may get there in the end, but it's a slow frustrating ride.

As great as Titans' second season has been, it's hard to deny that it's spent a rather large portion of it in the same place - heck, most of it has taken place in the one night. And yet, viewers remain intrigued to see where the story goes next... or when it will eventually get there.

Dick Grayson's journey towards finding redemption took him to Kane County Correctional Facility, but in what could have been just another episode of the former Boy Wonder being his old moody, broody self, the previous installment at the very least showed us all that the bird-shaped hero within remained alive and well - even if it was a rather different bird.

The uniquely titled 'E.L._.O.' carried on that narrative and took in it surprising new directions as it revealed that all was not what it seemed (yet again). In doing so, it set the stage for multiple reunions and further separations, with some of the Titans realising that they're stronger together and others being manipulated into killing all ties with them (literally).

With some strong performances and a jaw-dropping twist, this week's installment may not have been perfect, but it kept viewers on their toes right to the end and ensured that we'll be tuning in again for the fallout next week.

First, the negatives...
