Titans Season 2: 5 Ups & 1 Down From ‘Ghosts’

Ups...

5. The Exploration Of Starfire's Backstory

Kory Anders/Starfire may be one of Titans' best characters, but up until this point, much of her backstory had remained a mystery. That, of course, had everything to do with the fact that the character spent most of the first season suffering from amnesia, but it did leave many of us wanting to know more about her.

'Ghosts' finally shed some light as, through the introduction of Faddei, non-comic book fans got the chance to learn of her Tamaranean origins, including the fact that she's destined to be Queen - a role she clearly does not want.

The idea of Kory spending much of this season apart from the rest of the characters doesn't sound all that appealing, especially when last season was built upon constant Titans separation, so it's nice to know that she's heading back to the team in San Francisco. That said, this episode was effective in helping us learn more about the character and assuring us that the exploration of her backstory is far from over. And after what we've seen so far, that is undoubtedly a good thing.
