4. Blackfire Joins The Fray

One of the episode's multiple character-driven arcs saw Kory reunite with Faddei - who informed her about her sister Blackfire's fiery ascension to the throne back on Tamaran. And upon Faddei's infection by a parasite from Blackfire herself (that allowed her to use him as a vessel), the sisters had a face-off before Kory was forced to burn her friend and ally to death in a bid to free him from her grip.

The show has long been teasing a trip into Starfire's past and, after promising some serious development at the beginning of the season, it was temporarily dropped when she was dragged back into the Titans' business. But that multiple-episode break was long enough (even if they all took place over the one never-ending night) and now the writers are finally picking up where they left off.

Starfire's inclusion on the show made a showdown with her sister highly likely at some point and it's certainly off to a strong start, so consider us viewers very intrigued to see what comes next.
