Titans Season 2 Premiere: 7 Ups & 2 Downs From 'Trigon'
1. This Really Should Have Been The Season 1 Finale
The first season's nightmarish finale may have been an enjoyable change-of-pace for the show, but it only ended up leaving things on a rather jarring note because, in spite of how stylistic it attempted to be, it didn't feel like anything other than a penultimate episode. And the long-awaited Season 2 premiere did little to make fans feel otherwise.
A brilliant episode that finally put an end to the Trigon saga, and allowed Titans to pull itself out of the darkness and into the light, this felt a lot more like a season finale than a season premiere. It didn't just wrap up all the season's major arcs, it introduced us to the new season's villain as well as resetting the premise of the show by relocating the team to San Francisco.
All in all, this would have served as the perfect uplifting and satisfying conclusion to the first season that would have left us wanting more - and isn't that exactly what season finales are designed to be?
