The Simpsons: 10 Secondary Characters Voiced By Hank Azaria

8. Bumblebee Man

First Appearance: "Itchy & Scratchy: The Movie," Season 4. When Bart Simpson needed to distract his father to avoid punishment, Bart wisely took Homer's hand, led him to the couch, and explained, "You could punish me, but that means you have to think of a punishment, sit here and make sure I do it... Or... you could let me go play with Milhouse, while you spend the afternoon watching unpredictable Mexican sitcoms." And with that, The Simpsons' universe was introduced to Bumblebee Man, a clumsy, slapstick comedian on Springfield's Spanish-language television station, Channel Ocho. Just as likely to get hit by a car-sized baseball as he is to find a lobster claw pinching his behind, Bumblebee Man can also be counted on to follow up such calamities with an excited, sometimes inaccurate Spanish exclamation ("Dios no me ama! ") Outside of his TV show, Bumblebee Man is almost always still in costume (possibly explained in Season 22's "Flaming Moe" when he identifies as a "furry"): whether he is on Krusty's bowling team, reading the news for Kent Brockman, or bereaving at the funeral of Chip Davis (who helped Bumblebee Man come to terms with his parents' deaths in a paintball game.) The one time he was seen outside of his costume was in "22 Short Films About Springfield," when he came home to his wife and chihuahua: he shows his clumsiness is inherent and not just a schtick, as he accidentally destroys his entire house, leading to a threat of divorce from his wife. Bumblebee Man is based on a popular Spanish-language TV character from the late-70s (who can still be seen in syndication today): El ChapulĂn Colorado aka The Crimson Grasshopper. Funniest Moment: In Season 4's season-finale, Krusty- facing declining ratings- exclaims, "I lost to Channel Ocho? What the hell is that?" Flipping the channel, Krusty sees Bumblebee Man sitting at a diner. Bumblebee Man: "Dos huevos por favor ." (Two eggs hit Bumblebee Man in the face, forming two yellow eyes on his face.) "Ay, que lastima ." Krusty the Clown: "I gotta steal that bit."

The 'House is a father of two and husband of one in Minnesota. He is an improv comedian, and in his spare time follows WWE, MLB, The Simpsons, and Bob's Burgers. Growing up he was a huge fan of He-Man, and refuses to believe that it was in fact terrible.
