3. Paradigms of Human Memory (Season 2, Episode 21)
OK, the top three. Deep breaths this is even better than Curriculum Unavailable, because its so fresh and unexpected, and shows us adventures we wish we could see- St. Patricks Day, the Ghost town, the haunted mansion, the steam locomotive... It turns the idea of a tired, lazy clip show on its head, getting plain confusing at times and just secreting genius little bits, like Britta stealing Annies lipstick, Pierce stealing everyones food whilst making bird noises, and Abeds obsession with The Cape. And it also features Troys funniest freak-out, going through three levels and resulting in a nosebleed.
2. Contemporary American Poultry (Season 1, Episode 21)
This is such a tight, well-written parody of the gangster movie that youve got to love it. This is Abeds episode, through and through, and whilst Im not usually the biggest fan of Abed-centric episodes, he makes this his own. For me, this is when Community really began to hit its stride, and that is one of the reasons I can watch this more than any other episode and never get sick of it.
