It was a close call for the 1994 version but I feel that Spectacular Spiderman was simply amazing. There were no flaws and as every episode concluded, you were either left in awe at the amazement, or in tears that it ended. The show received acclaim from both fans and critics, but was criminally cancelled prematurely after two seasons and replaced by Amazing Spider-Man which is very average compared to its predecessor. The one thing Spectacular Spider-Man had over the rest is that it actually felt like a Spider-Man comic it managed to capture the heart of the comics and put it on TV. The stand out moment was the fight between Symbiote Spider-Man and the Sinister Six which defines description. By no stretch of the imagination I am saying that the 1994 version didnt feel like it was straight out of the pages, it did and I love that version but I feel that Spectacular Spider-Man did it better...only just.
