True Blood: 10 Answers We Must Get In The Final Season
5. How Extreme Is The Hep V Vampire 'War'?
Judging by the seasons first trailer, the Hep V epidemic is raging across the land, but the question as to just how widespread and desperate it is remains unanswered. Is it threatening just Louisiana? The entire United States? The whole world? The scope of the infections full range will have serious repercussions for the entire True Blood universe and it is likely we will get our answer to this question early in the final season. Once the scope of the disease is revealed, then the season will most likely play out as our heroes deal with containing and eradicating the infection while handling the dangers inherent with the several new characters introduced to add to their troubles. From purely story considerations, the answering of this question is the most important. This is a large idea to introduce with only ten episodes in the final season to sort it all out, especially when there are so many other plot points left outstanding, but if handled properly, this could be an event of serious enough magnitude to draw each and every story together. Judging from the early promotional material, it does seen likely that the war is global, yet there is no way to tell how extensive the danger truly is. If the disease and the war can become a unifying threat, then True Blood has the chance to consolidate its story and go out with a focused and directed bang, a possibility unthinkable a season or two ago.
