True Blood: 20 Defining Moments

2. Eric Kills Russell, Season 5, Episode 12 Whether you loved it or hated it, Russell's death was a big moment. Russell was undoubtedly the best villain in "True Blood" history, and his death marked the end of a great villainous run on the show. However, many fans were annoyed that a character so important and powerful was killed off in the first two minutes of the season 5 finale. While I wish we could've seen Russell eat a couple of those annoying faeries, he was ultimately doomed when he drained that Faerie Elder. Eric swooped in at the perfect time to stake Russell, who was caught off guard. Also, his last word was "f--k." Yes, his death could've and should've been way more epic, but it was satisfying to see Eric finally get his revenge. Eric also made this scene, announcing that staking his nemesis felt better than he had imagined.

1. Billith, Season 5, Episode 12

p234598701-1 The final scene of the season 5 finale was pure insanity. Bill had officially lost his mind after spending too much time with those religious-crazed Authority bitches and he was intent on drinking the vile of Lillith's blood. No one knew what this would do, but Eric and Sookie showed up to try and stop it from happening. After refusing to listen to both of their pleas, it was clear that this wasn't the same Bill from season 1. Hell, he even called his beloved Sookie an abomination. "I told you the first night we met. Vampires often turn on those they love most," he told a tearful Sookie. He proceeded to drink the vile of blood and moments later he burst into a pile of vampire goo. For a second, many were shocked as it looked like he met the true death. Then, in typical jaw-dropping "True Blood" fashion, a disturbing Lillith-version of Bill (monster fangs included) rose up out of the pool of blood. Ladies and gents, I give you Billith. While it's unclear what exactly Billith is and what his plan will be, it is pretty much guaranteed that old Bill is dead and gone. We'll just have to wait and see what Billith is and how he'll factor into the the new season. Check out a trailer for season 6 below.
