Tara (Rutina Wesley) has never been a well-liked character. For four seasons she played the whiny victim of all things supernatural. Yes, if we'd been victimized by maenads, witches and vampires, we'd probably act the same way. But it was just getting tiresome to watch. In a mad attempt to save Sookie's life from Alcide's ex-girlfriend Debbie (Brit Morgan), Tara took a bullet in the head. She was more or less dead until Pam conveniently showed up at Sookie's house looking to make amends with Eric. After Sookie promised to mend Pam's relationship with her maker, she unwillingly turned Tara into a vampire. This scene marked a turning point for a character who we'd known for the last four seasons as a vampire-hating human. What was even more ironic was that she and Pam initially hated each other. By the end of season 5, Tara had fully embraced her vampire nature and thus became more tolerable as a character. She and Pam are in a newly sexual relationship at the beginning of season 6, which can only mean great moments from these two.
3. Jessica Glamours Hoyt, Season 5, Episode 10

I'll admit I was never interested in Hoyt (Jim Parrack) and Jessica's relationship so I wasn't upset about their breakup. Things got a little more interesting when Jason, Hoyt's best friend, hooked up with Jessica soon after. Then things got ugly between all three parties. Hoyt tried to play the part of a fangbanger for season 5 and then he got sucked into a supernatural hate group that almost convinced him to kill Jessica. He couldn't go through with it because he's a good guy. In turn, he almost go eaten by a bunch of hungry pigs. Ridiculous, I know. This led to a meeting between the three at Merlotte's. Hoyt had Jessica glamour him so he would forget all of his pain and forget about her and Jason altogether. For fans of Hoyt, this was a very sad moment because this was him truly cutting ties with his adorable ex and his best friend. Hoyt's decision to get a job in Alaska (don't ask) also meant his exit on the show.
