Shock death scenes greeted fans of Ashes To Ashes and Lost on Friday, helping boost ratings. The antepenultimate episode of Ashes To Ashes' final series attracted 4.92m (21.7%) viewers for BBC1 at 9pm, while Lost grabbed 577,000 (2.5%) eyeballs for Sky1 in the same hour. Both shows featured the death of regular characters, as they approach the end of their runs.
