2. It Looks Fantastic
If theres one thing about the show you cant criticize, its definitely the look. The animation teams studied the work of comic artists Ed McGuiness, Stuart Immonen, Humberto Ramos, and Paolo Rivera and it shows. The characters look like they do in the comics, and arent re-imagined in any way that make you cringe a la Joker in The Batman. It looks way better than Spectacular Spider-Man ever did quite frankly. All the characters are drawn with great detail and the animation team should be commended for their work. There are some liberties taken with character design, like in the case of Doctor Octopus, but for the most part its kept the same. If youre a fan of the original Green Goblin look, you might be disappointed as the creative team decided to go with the Green Goblin design from the Ultimate Spider-Man comics.
