Ultimate Spider-Man: 5 Reasons You Should be Watching

2. It Looks Fantastic

If there€™s one thing about the show you can€™t criticize, it€™s definitely the look. The animation teams studied the work of comic artists Ed McGuiness, Stuart Immonen, Humberto Ramos, and Paolo Rivera and it shows. The characters look like they do in the comics, and aren€™t re-imagined in any way that make you cringe a la Joker in €˜The Batman€™. It looks way better than €˜Spectacular Spider-Man€™ ever did quite frankly. All the characters are drawn with great detail and the animation team should be commended for their work. There are some liberties taken with character design, like in the case of Doctor Octopus, but for the most part it€™s kept the same. If you€™re a fan of the original Green Goblin look, you might be disappointed as the creative team decided to go with the Green Goblin design from the Ultimate Spider-Man comics.
