Umbrella Academy: 11 Biggest Questions After Season 2
2. What About The Other 35 Children?
Before the first season even dropped on Netflix, early trailers explained that on one fateful day in October 1989, 43 children around the world were miraculously born.
Seven of which were adopted by Reginald Hargreeves and were trained to become the Umbrella Academy, but the remaining children were left out of the picture throughout the entire first season. It seemed like this was a glaring plot hole within the series and comics, but we may have just got the first answers to this question at the end of the second season.
With the reveal that Lila was also one of the superpowered babies born on that day, that still leaves 35 of them unaccounted for. So where are they all now?
Did all of them survive? Were some born without any remarkable gifts (as Vanya was told she was)? Or were some of them taken in by other organisations like the Academy or Commission.
With 35 potential superheroes running around the world for years, you’d assume that something would have happened. The Handler and Reggie both knew where to find these children, so who’s to say nobody else did.
