Umbrella Academy: 11 Biggest Questions After Season 2

Though the Hargreeves family managed to avert a nuclear apocalypse, the season finale nevertheless ended on a nuclear bombshell of a cliff hanger.

After obtaining one of the hundreds of ownerless briefcases from the battlefield, our heroes were finally able to return to a future where the world didn’t end. What they (and we) should have expected, though, is that messing with the past will inevitably have serious consequences in the future.

Not only do they to find Reginald Hargreeves back from the dead, so too is their brother Ben (Justin H. Min). What’s even stranger is that the Umbrella Academy never existed in this alternate timeline, instead it’s the Sparrow Academy. We catch a glimpse of their silhouettes standing behind Ben, but who are these people? We’re especially curious to find out more about the floating cube.

The Sparrow Academy have already been introduced in the comic series. Unlike the Netflix series, however, this other group of superheroes exist in the same timeline as the Hargreeves and are implied to be more of the 43 for children.

Seeing as this version of the Sparrows include Ben, we can expect them to be rather different from the comic counterparts.
