Once Upon A Time: 10 Characters We Need To See In Season 4 (And Who Should Play Them)

5. Aladdin

Who They Are: The dashing, charming thief who was tricked by an evil sorcerer is truly a tale as old as time, having been adapted numerous times over the years. The 1992 adaptation is still one of the best Disney films ever produced, ranking among the best of their entire line-up. Elements of his world have been included in the show, and Jafar even appears in the flesh during the spin-off, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. Yet Aladdin himself remains unseen within the world of Once, making season four a good indication for his first splash onto the ABC series. As an exciting and charismatic character, it would make sense to bring him in and see how he fits in. No doubt he'd get under the skin of characters like Charming and Emma, likely competing with Hook to see who can be the biggest scoundrel in all of Storybrooke. He would add a fantastic sense of fun to the series, bringing along a very dynamic world of characters and concepts with him. Who Should Play Them:
He's a clear fan favorite choice, but that doesn't make Avan Jogia any less of a perfect candidate to play Aladdin in Once's fourth season. Jogia previously starred on the Nick teen sitcom Victorious, and has begun a very promising film career. He has a very natural charisma, with some dynamite comedic timing and a striking resemblance to the animated Aladdin from 1992, which is likely where the producers would pull their inspiration from. Not only that, but seeing as how Once has used a lot of Disney elements, but backed off from bringing in the musical elements of each character, it might be fun to use some of them for that. Granted, it's unlikely that the show will ever become any sense of being a musical, but characters like Aladdin, even Elsa and Tiana, it could be interesting to do something like that in an episode. And it's clear that Jogia has a great singing voice, so there's potential for it.
