19. Sigurd Snake-In-The-Eye

The show got a lot about Sigurd Snake-in-the-Eye correct as he was the son of Ragnar Lothbrok and Aslaug. He got his nickname from a birthmark in his eye that looked like a snake eating its own tail (a symbol known as the Ouroboros), which Aslaug had prophesied before his birth. He was also one of the commanders of the Great Heathen Army in 865 AD

Though unlike the show, where Ivar kills Sigurd after being taunted, Sigurd went on to becoming a king of Denmark. He also married the daughter of King Ælla of Northumbria, Princess Blaeja.
