The Walking Dead: 10 Theories About How Season 4 Will End

8. The Hunters Are Introduced

Although the actual Terminus sanctuary doesn't appear in any comic book adaptions, it doesn't mean that the show couldn't use this location as a means to introduce something else from the comic book. In the comic book, as Rick and company are traveling they come across a group of survivors known as the Hunters. Much like Rick's group, they are struggling to survive and have fallen on hard times. Their solution? Cannibalism. How horrible would it be to live during the events of the zombie apocalypse and to come across a group of survivors that also want to eat you for their own survival? The Hunters get their name as a result of them literally stalking Rick's group. In the comic book, they knockout and kidnap a still living Dale who had recently been bitten but a walker. Dale awakens in the Hunter camp to realize that his leg has been cut off and used as food by the group. Dale eventually gets the last laugh as he informs the Hunters that they are feasting on tainted meat. Although it's a bit of an outside shot that the Hunters are the architects of the Terminus sanctuary, it's possible that a cannibal theme is introduced. It would be absolutely horrifying for the group to come across this safe haven to discover that they're actually being loured there for the purpose of living, walking human cattle. And although Dale is long dead and gone, it's not out of the realm of possibility that we see something similar to the comic and witness them a feasting on a bitten survivor.
