The Walking Dead: 15 Stupid Decisions Lori Grimes Would Be Proud Of

1. The Campers Attack The Prison ("Too Far Gone")

Just as the Governor had fairly effortlessly won Lilly and Tara to his side with his sob story, it takes him very little time to gain the sympathies of and control over the band of survivors that they find camping in the woods. Despite the fact that the death toll has begun to suspiciously rise with his arrival, the Governor easily convinces the campers that they need to lay siege to the prison, forcing the current inhabitants out so that they could enjoy the safety of the fortified fences and secure buildings for themselves. Granted, these new forces were mostly civilians with limited firearm experience, but they could surely pose menacingly enough to convince the murderous barbarians within to leave before night fell, and they agree to follow the Governor's lead. Unfortunately for everybody, the Woodburyites 2.0 take their following of the Governor a little bit too far. While Rick's desperate pleas for them to lay down their weapons and enter the prison as friends rather than foes clearly begins to sway some of the Governor's people, the siege immediately explodes into a firefight when the Governor draws first blood by killing the captive Hershel. Of all of the attackers, only Tara seems to realise that decapitating an innocent man with a sword, driving cars through the protective faces, blowing holes in the secure buildings with a tank, and opening fire on the inhabitants before sunset was the exact opposite of the Governor's professed intentions. She withdraws from the battle, but too late to make a difference; within a few minutes, dozens on both sides are dead, the prison is destroyed, and Walkers swarm toward what few survivors remain. Way to go, guys.
