The Walking Dead: 15 Stupid Decisions Lori Grimes Would Be Proud Of

2. Lilly And Tara Follow The Governor ("Live Bait")

Following the events of Season 3, it's perfectly reasonable for viewers to have a slight bias about the Governor. Just because he exudes pure evil to us doesn't mean that he won't seem perfectly normal to others, right? We'd seen him slaughter innocents, sexually abuse Maggie, torture the good guys, attack the prison, attempt to kill Michonne, and fill a secret back room with fish tanks full of Walker heads. We already knew that he was a sadistic psychopath. We knew that. In the Walking Dead universe, however, he apparently exuded such benevolence that a scraggly beard, eye patch, affinity for violence, and unnatural interest in the well-being of a little girl were not enough to set off the alarms for Lilly and Tara Chamblers. Lilly and Tara €“ a set of relatively slight young women in the company of only an infirm elderly man and a 7-year-old child €“ welcome him into their home and confidence with surprisingly little discretion. Even watching him enthusiastically bash their dead father's head in with an oxygen tank and splatter brain matter all over his granddaughter was not enough for them to think that maybe this guy was a little bit...off. So, naturally, after the facial obliteration of their father, the trio of inexperienced Chambler ladies decides to abandon their home and stash of canned goods to wander into the world of the Walkers with the creepy man that they had just met. Honestly, this would be a bad decision nowadays. In the zombie apocalypse, with no one to hear them scream? And for Lilly to go to bed with him almost immediately? Not the greatest of ideas.
