Even though we might have gotten fed up with Lori long before her death, the manner of her demise was particularly horrendous to behold. Not only did she seemingly die during childbirth, but she then had to be put down by her own son, eventually causing Rick to enter God Mode and massacre several walkers in the prison to find her body. What he found instead was a grotesquely bloated walker where Lori died, stuffed full of Mrs. Grimes, and it was fantastically disgusting and unhinging to see Rick dig for evidence in the walker's belly.
4. Morgan's Wife
Yet another brilliant effort from the first episode, Morgan's wife was an example of the intelligent walkers the writers were clearly toying with in the first season. She haunted Morgan and Duane, getting so close as to be able to turn the doorknob of the house they were sheltering in, staring straight through the peephole at Rick. It was phenomenally scary and heartbreaking at the same time, as we then had to watch Morgan struggle to put her down once Rick had departed.
