The Walking Dead: 5 Characters From The Comics Who Should Be In The TV Show

4. Ben And Billy

Ben And Billy

A little bit of a cheat here €“ these two are being paired together because, well, they're twins. So there. They're the offspring of Allen and Donna, who were actually introduced in season 3 as part of Tyreese's group, and even came complete with a son called Ben. They don't however bare any resemblance to the comic characters, so a simple name-change would sort this out. There's nothing remotely special or unique about them, but things do take a pretty interesting turn when Ben kills Billy. Yep. That's right, you heard me, we have a psychopathic kid on our hands here, with Ben going loopy and slicing up his brother. We then have a great moral dilemma for the group to face: just what do you do with a problem like Ben? A kid with no idea of right and wrong, thinking his brother will just come back (to be fair, he's sort of right). As mentioned, we've already been introduced to the characters, just in a different capacity to their comic counterparts. But there's nothing to say a similar plot couldn't be played out, and actually, Lizzie and Mika Samuels could fill Ben and Billy's role very nicely. They've already creepily personified Nick the Zombie, and Mika's ominous line to Carol of how her sister is messed up, but not weak, is mighty interesting. The series could play this storyline out very well, even going with the outcome of Carl taking justice upon himself and ending the kid's life. It could prove to be some really powerful and hard-hitting character drama, exactly what Walking Dead delivers best on. The shock of Carol killing Karen and David in the TV series recently was shocking stuff, and really developed her as a character remarkably well. The same could be done here, and including children in such a grisly and gritty way would provide a great big visceral blow for an audience. We're also then on our way in the progression of bad-ass Carl Grimes!

Steven feels like a sociopath writing a bio about himself in third person, but it feels kind of nice, and he's sure he'll get used to it.
