5 Characters They Could Kill Off
Honorable Mention:Any or All of The Woodbury Refugees In the season 3 finale, after The Governor turns on his own people and the once safe haven of Woodbury is overrun with walkers, several survivors are seemingly accepted into Rick's group and allowed to move into the prison. It remains to be seen how the show will deal with all these new faces. This didn't happen in the comics, so there are no clues from the source material as to what their fate may be, or how much these characters will be introduced and developed--if at all. But if the then newly-introduced prisoners from the beginning of season 3 are any indication, most of the former citizens of Woodbury are most certainly doomed to being nothing more than walker bait.
5. Hershel
Hershel was introduced in season 2 as the wise and protective old farmer/veterinarian that helped save Carl's life and eventually accepted and learned to trust Rick and the others. After having to leave his old life behind once and for all, he and what was left of his family joined Rick on the road. He was bitten early in the prison arc of season 3, which led Rick to cut off his leg in order to stop the infection from spreading. His role in much of the season was as the voice of reason in the group, often having to talk some sense into Rick as he was struggling to maintain sanity. But other than the occasional words of wisdom and some medical knowledge, Hershel has basically served his purpose on the show. Not to mention hobbling around on one leg makes him an easy target for any walker encounters. And seeing as how he was actually killed by The Governor in the prison raid in the book, I think Hershel's days may be numbered.
