The Walking Dead: 5 Characters Most Likely To Die Next

5. Bob Stookey

Why He Could Be Next: Since his first appearance in the Season 4 premiere, Bob Stookey has been considered something of an enigma, and it was far easier to distrust him than to give him any sort of credit. As the season progressed, however, we saw that he wasn't so much vaguely evil as he was...flawed. Over the past several months, he has grown from a man who would do anything for a drink to a man who might actually be handy to have around in the zombie apocalypse. By episode 13, he's even embarked upon a romantic subplot with Sasha. Bob has enjoyed a fairly consistent arc, and we've watched as he became a character whose survival we'd root for... ...which may be exactly what those dastardly showrunners at AMC were hoping for. Bob has been so sped through the stages of development through which even the Season 1 regulars are still muddling that there just has to be more to the story. While he is certainly not universally beloved, his growth toward a life worth living with people worth loving has been compelling. Basically, Bob has been perfectly groomed for a tragic late-season doom. His demise would allow the show its requisite major character death without alienating longtime fans from returning in Season 5. Would we be sad? Sure. But would we rend our garments and gnash our teeth all the way through the hiatus? Probably not. Why He Has A Chance: Although solid enough, there's nothing particularly groundbreaking about the dangers that he is currently facing on the way to Terminus. The Walking Dead likes to shock and scare; relative newbie Bob falling victim to a random Walker after meandering down the train tracks wouldn't pack much of a punch.
