1. Hershel Survives A Walker Bite
And hes the only character to do it! In Seed (S3 E01), Hershels leg is bitten by a walker; luckily, Rick acts fast and amputates the leg without anesthetic. Since then, Hershels limped along while everyone else has been able to outrun walkers at a moments notice. When in danger, the motto has always been run or kill, but Hershel cant run. Just day-to-day survival gadding about on crutches has been a badass act for Hershel. In the universe of The Walking Dead, its hard to find a reason to live. But Hershels determined to build a life worth living for everyone around him, especially for his daughters. Sure, everyones infected and doomed to turn when they die, but Hershel wears this on his sleeve. Or on his pant leg, more accurately. He works hard to make every moment meaningful, and it inspires a great number of his badass acts. Obviously the situation's a little different now he's got an artificial foot, but again it's not a real foot. He won't be wearing sandals any time soon, nor will he be participating in the 100 metre dash. But still, he keeps going and sticks himself in harms' way. If there's one thing I want you to take away from this article, it's this Hershels a badass, so dont forget it. When someone tells you Daryl, Rick, or Michonne is the biggest badass on The Walking Dead, just crack out this list and tell them otherwise. He's basically like the expert-level character of a game he's not a katana-wielding, crossbow-shooting, revolver-toting survivalist who's got all the physical advantages, as that would be too easy. He's an old, pot-bellied farmer amputee, yet despite these handicaps, he still isn't slouching in the zombie apocalypse. Hershels barely got a leg to stand on, so he needs your help to defend his badass honour. If you have anything to add to the list or something seems out of order, let me know in the comment section below!
