Thanks to Robert Kirkman, we know that Rick is going to be marked by his experiences and emerge differently: "This is Rick Grimes being pushed to his absolute limit. And if you think you've seen that before, you haven't. And the Rick Grimes that comes out of this is really going to shock people." The first issue has to be what pushes him to the absolute limit: he's already been to Hell and back, so you have to imagine we're looking at something bigger and darker here, and the second issues relates to what becomes of him afterwards. We've already seen Rick go through some serious changes, from his mental instability through his more aggressive leadership in the wake of Shane's death, so you have to think Kirkman has come up with something else. But what? The Walking Dead finale airs in the UK on 31st March on FOX.
