The Walking Dead Season 4 Finale: 6 Definitive Things That We Learned
5. There Is A "Sanctuary"
The big question leading up the season four finale was whether or not Terminus even existed and if it was in fact a true sanctuary. As the second half exposed more and more clues about Terminus, fans really didn't know what to expect about the place until finally seeing Glenn and company arrive at what appeared to be a safe and secure dwelling. Although feelings are high that the Terminus residents are in fact cannibals, up to this point fans can only speculate. When Terminus was first introduced it appeared to be a lightly populated habitation with only a few survivors milling around in a courtyard. Even when Rick's group finally arrives during the finale episode, it doesn't appear as if the sanctuary has a whole lot of survivors that are living there. It isn't until things heat up and Rick notices a couple of odd things such as the riot gear from the prison and the watch that belonged to Glenn that we realize how organized these people really are. After Rick's group is chased around the complex, it becomes abundantly clear that the Terminus sanctuary is the real deal and is not occupied by a rag tag group of survivors. As the season concluded, fans were shocked to see that Terminus is actually filled with a large population. Whether their cannibals or not will be a road that we cross come season five but up to this point it's highly possible that another Woodbury has been discovered.
