The Walking Dead Season 4 Finale: 7 Major Terminus Theories

Cult and cannibals and candles... Oh my!

The finale of The Walking Dead's season 4 has now come and gone, leaving as many dissatisfied fans as those who enjoyed the comparatively lower impact revelations it offered in comparison with other finales, and also leaving a host of major questions we can expect to be answered in Season 5. Robert Kirkman promised that fans would face a summer of frustration thanks to the show's cliffhanger, and the unresolved question of exactly what Terminus is is likely to be the most explored of all of the open threads left by A. The smart money would be on something sinister, given that the warm welcomes all of the survivors seem to have received made way quickly either for odd disappearances (in terms of the members of the group who made it there before the finale) or for aggressive coercion into a container. It's not likely that either is being done for Rick and co's safety, unless the Terminus residents are just a little heavy-handed on their safety protocols. Season 5 will no arrive until the October this year, so there is plenty of time to consider some of the most pertinent theories of what Terminus actually is, with a number of strong theories already appearing. Just as long as it doesn't turn out to be purgatory all along, or something...
