The Walking Dead Season 5: 10 Things We Learned From The New Trailer

6. No Barbecued Beth

Once cannibalism began to emerge as a real possibility for the Termites toward the end of the fourth season, the hypotheses about Beth's disappearance took a gruesome turn, and viewers began to wonder if poor Beth was what's for dinner at Terminus. Would Maggie's joyful reunion with Glenn be forever tainted by a well-sauced taste of her dead sister? Would Daryl's desperate attempt to find her end in a medium-rare tragedy? Would the most hopeful escapee from the fall of the prison meet the most horrifying death at the hands of the cannibals?
As it turns out? None of the above. As we discovered in a surprise 20 second tag to the trailer, Beth was not carted off for barbecuing at Terminus. Instead, she has been kidnapped by a whole new group of bad guys and launched into a storyline all of her own. And it will be awesome. By the looks of things, she has been taken to a hospital of some sort, dressed in scrubs and impressed into service by antagonists in police uniform. Beth, however, is no longer the girl who chose to give up rather than face an ugly world. She is a brave young woman who came out of her adventures with Daryl with a whole new attitude. Pistol-whip to the face? Broken wrist? These are but flesh wounds! Held captive and forced into a system by nefarious newcomers? Only until she gets her hands on a weapon. Stolen away from the only person left of her prison family? Maybe for now.
Will Beth survive Season 5? We can't know for sure. What we do know is that Doodlebug ain't going down without a fight.
