The Walking Dead Season 5: 8 Things That Will Happen

6. Morgan Jones Returns

Another character fans are looking at to make a return is the unstable Morgan Jones. When fans last encountered Morgan, he was suffering from the trauma of losing his son and presumably having to kill him - an event that had visibly shaken the formidable survivor to his core and forced him into insanity. It's only presumed with Duane's turn, Morgan did in fact put him out of his misery. Flashing back to season one, Morgan had difficulty killing his walker wife, making it believable his walker son Duane might still be out there. In the comic book, Morgan pulls a Governor-style move and keeps zombie Duane alive and chained up, once again finding himself unable to do the unthinkable and end his sons suffering. Morgan is a character who needs a resolution, bigger than what he had the last time audiences saw him. It has to be assumed Morgan won't make an appearance until later in the season, possibly not even until the second half after the events at Terminus have been resolved. Within the pages of the comic book, Rick and his group stumble across an equally distraught Morgan like the one fans have seen up until this point on screen. Although he's not the most pivotal character in the series, his story arc needs to come full circle with Rick.
