Throughout the history of comic books, and comic book movies, superheroes aren't particularly known for staying dead. Whenever a protagonist perishes, more often than not it will be reversed before too long. In the MCU, Loki has cheated death a few times, Gamora still has a future in the franchise, and of course, all of the snapped characters eventually returned in Endgame.

After Vision's clash with Thanos however, the android is about as dead as an MCU character can be. Before the show's announcement, it was widely believed that he was gone and beyond any kind of return, so his appearance on Disney+ is one of the most intriguing aspects of the show.

There has to be an explanation to how Vision has survived, and the key could be the show's link with the Doctor Strange sequel. The theory is that WandaVision will see Wanda jumping around the multiverse, finding universes in which Vision survived, and taking the place of its version of her.

Clearly unstable after the events of Infinity War and Endgame, she would see this play out in a sitcom style, where everything is wonderful and she is with her love once again, before Vision discovers what is going on, forcing her to jump to another universe and another sitcom style.
