Marvel have already completely trolled fans once during WandaVision by bringing Evan Peters to the MCU. The man who brought Quicksilver to life in the X-Men movies arrived on Wanda's doorstep in Westview claiming to be her brother, inspiring theories of mutants and the multiverse as early as episode five.

Agatha Harkness has since debunked all of these theories by confirming she was behind Fake Pietro coming to Westview, but this doesn't mean that the series won't ultimately make the first steps to bring the X-Men into the franchise.

Episode eight saw Wanda as a child for the first time, interacting with her parents. Her father Oleg most certainly is not Magneto, but with Agatha seemingly confirming that the Scarlet Witch has had powers since long before she came face to face with an Infinity Stone, the door is more open than ever for the MCU to introduce the mutant gene.

Wanda's childhood has already been retconned once, and the reveal that she and Pietro were adopted wouldn't be out of place as this would be pulled straight out of the comics, and her powers need to have come from somewhere.

Whether the Erik Lehnsherr from this reality or somewhere else across the multiverse shows up, this could be a game changer for both Wanda and the MCU moving forward.
