This highlights the idea that we have only been seeing exactly what Wanda wants us to see. If the outcome is that Wanda is controlling this town and creating this reality on her own, then it poses the simple question of the limits of her power. On the other hand, it seems like Wanda may have been coerced and manipulated in her fragile state, leading her to live in this fantasy world, far away from anything to do with the Avengers, Thanos or even a world without Vision.
