3. Monica Rambeau Is A Key Character In The MCU's Future
If this episode did one thing, it established Monica Rambeau as a key figure in the MCU moving forward. Her mother, Maria Rambeau, was the founder of S.W.O.R.D., and her relationship with Carol Danvers was no secret.
It has already been confirmed that Monica Rambeau will feature in the Captain Marvel sequel, although it is yet to be known whether she will have superpowers in that film or not. Rambeau's role in the wider MCU is sure to be one of great importance, with her appearance as Geraldine in WandaVision showcasing her strength and bravery.
Early in the episode Tyler Hayward, the acting Director of S.W.O.R.D, tells Rambeau that she is "grounded", meaning she is not to partake in any off-world missions. This hints at the possibility of more galactic adventures for the Avengers and Rambeau herself in the future.
With plans already in place for a third Guardians of the Galaxy movie, as well as Thor: Love and Thunder, the MCU is clearly heading for more extraterrestrial expeditions throughout Phase Four, Five and beyond.
