WandaVision Episode 5 Theories: 5 Biggest Talking Points
1. Evan Peters Is BACK As Pietro
Of course, the moment that every fan of WandaVision will be talking about until next week's episode was the big reveal at the climax.
Wanda's brother Pietro Maximoff, a.k.a the speedster Quicksilver, returned at her door just as the unlikely couple finished their argument. Fans of the MCU would have expected a return for Aaron Taylor-Johnson's iteration of the character, as he portrayed Pietro in Avengers: Age of Ultron. However, there have been other versions of the character in another Marvel universe...
Evan Peters brought the character to life in the X-Men movie franchise, excellently displaying his quick-wittedness and sarcastic nature in every appearance.
At the end of this week's episode, Peters' Pietro Maximoff was stood in the doorway, allegedly wanting to see his "long-lost" sister. This appearance has caused theorists around the world to fire away, with many possible reasons for the X-Men star's arrival in the MCU.
The reasons behind his arrival are not nearly as important as the implications. This opens the door (literally) for the crossover between X-Men and Avengers at a later date - whether in a full-scale crossover movie or in cameo appearances such as this.
This moment caused a social explosion on Twitter and now has WandaVision viewers hooked, eagerly awaiting next week's instalment.
