3. Hayward Is The Antagonist

Tyler Hayward - the current S.W.O.R.D. Director - seems to have worse intentions than he is letting on.

He seems keen to help Monica Rambeau, Lewis and Jimmy Woo in their attempts to save Wanda from the town she has created. However, it becomes clear when he launches a missile at her that he is not here to save everyone involved.

When it comes to light that Hayward is secretly tracking the location of Vision, we are automatically left to question how and why he has that ability. It is most likely that, over the last five years, Vision's body has been subject to experiments and manipulation in S.W.O.R.D. bases - which is why Wanda felt the need to break in and steal him.

If Hayward had unrestricted access to one of the world's most powerful synthezoids, it would have been easy for him to plant a tracking device in case of occurrences like this one. You wouldn't want to lose a near-omnipotent being like that, would you?

His refusal to help Wanda and him removing Rambeau, Lewis and Woo from the S.W.O.R.D. base seems to point to the fact that he is not looking for a way to save everyone - just his science project.
