It may surprise some readers to learn that the Agatha Harkness of the comics isn't the big bad she's portrayed as in WandaVision. She's had her morally dubious moments, let's put it that way, but ultimately she served as a wise old mentor - first to the Fantastic Four, and then to Wanda second.

WandaVision's ending flips this relationship on its head a bit. Agatha offers to mentor Wanda on her new powers but rather than let Harkness retain her dangerous, conniving self, Wanda reverts her back to nosy neighbour Agnes. This way, she can access Harkness' knowledge as and when she wants to, without the threat of being desiccated by her gnarly purple magic.

It would be wise to count on Agatha appearing again, especially as Wanda learns to get to grips with her new abilities, and understand her destiny as the Scarlet Witch in that fantastic new (comics-accurate) costume.
