Westworld: Ranking Every Main Character From Worst To Best
10. Caleb Nichols
Westworld always seeks to reinvent itself with each subsequent season. In the third season, Caleb Nichols' was introduced as essentially a new lead character for the show. A brave choice and one that didn't always pay off, Caleb equally shares the spotlight with Dolores in the latest season.
Aaron Paul is a great performer and he brings an excellent fish out of water quality to Caleb as he falls deeper into Dolores' world. Unfortunately, Caleb as a character is rather boring. The traumatised war veteran who has a mysterious backstory is never quite as compelling as the writers think he is.
The shrouded secrecy of his past built up anticipation which very much fell flat when all was revealed, securing him as the most boring principle character on the show. Westworld clearly has plans for Caleb as an important necessity for this story and he is likely to play a large role in the upcoming fourth season, if this is the case then hopefully some more work can be done to make him a more engaging protagonist as he took screen time from a lot of beloved characters in Season Three and it would be nice if that could pay off eventually.
