Westworld Review: 10 Non-Spoiler Reasons It's HBO's Next Big Thing

4. It Looks Amazing

Westworld Review 2
HBO

Westworld is a show that really has the full might of HBO thrown behind it, and that's particularly telling in the series' aesthetics.

The production values here are immense, and the titular theme park has been expertly created. The scope of the park is huge, and stretches across vast landscapes that offer up some truly stunning vistas. It's neatly complemented by the town setting that feels like it's been directly lifted from the Wild West, the duality of the locale offering up one of the most gorgeous Westerns you've seen.

Acting as a nice counterpoint to this is the 'human' world - the labs, where the robots are created and experimented on, feels every bit as sci-fi as the theme park does Western. It's starkly clean, modern, and here - you feel - is where the true threat may lie.
