Westworld Season 2: 12 Stupid Blunders That Completely Ruined It

1. The Terrible Finale

Westworld Season 2 Ed Harris

The Passenger, the 90-minute finale to season two, is easily the worst Westworld episode to date and ensures season two will leave a very sour taste behind. Much like with 13 Reasons Why season two, the other big TV disappointment from 2018, the finale episode will make you want to break the screen.

The Passenger is 90 minutes of stupid plot twists, soulless spectacle and nothingness that doesn't feel like a satisfying conclusion to the season in the slightest. It also implies Westworld is headed in an unfortunate new direction of just being a show about Dolores and Bernard in the real world, which implies the park won't feature as much anymore. This would be a fatal error, since the entire premise of the theme park with robots is the show's main hook.

This really is a dire final episode that, with its terrible pacing, dumb twists and meaningless story, is all of season two's big problems in one place. Thus, it confirms that Westworld has completely lost its way.

If you're into the pretentious, superficial and nonsensical science-fiction that Westworld offers, this show has your name on it and you're welcome to it. Otherwise, all others need not apply.
