One host who doesn't make it to the Sublime is Maeve, who sacrifices herself so that her daughter and others can reach it.

With Clementine set to unleash a virus capable of destroying all of them, Maeve uses her powers to stop the onrushing tide, seemingly sacrificing herself in the process.

It's hard to imagine this actually being the end of Maeve though. Thandie Newton is one of the show's top stars, and Maeve among its main characters. It's shown no desire to permanently get rid of anyone so far, so would they really start with someone who, as a host, they can easily bring back? That's certainly why Felix and Sylvester, two characters who'd otherwise serve no purpose, are left alive, so that they can bring her back online in Season 3, although with her daughter gone it's unclear what her motivations will be then.
