What Happens Next? - 10 MORE Planned Seasons Of Cancelled TV Shows
1. Daredevil
The Netflix show, Daredevil, was an immediate hit. It didn't embrace the quippy, action-packed scenes from MCU films and instead focused on telling a dark, grounded story. Due to its success, it wasn't long before more gritty Marvel shows were green-lit for Netflix including The Punisher and Jessica Jones.
When Disney formed their own streaming service, they saw no reason to have their shows on a competing platform and so, cancelled all Marvel shows on Netflix. This was extra frustrating for Daredevil since the series ended on a cliffhanger. After the villainous Benjamin Pointdexter had his spine shattered by Wilson Fisk, the final scene shows a surgeon grafting a metallic harness to his spine.
According to the show's lead actor, Charlie Cox, Pointdexter would have returned in Season 4 and fully embrace his supervillain persona, Bullseye. Instead of being a calculated assassin like how he was depicted in Season 3, he would become an unhinged psychopath, much like how he is portrayed in the comics.
Also, Bullseye's surgery was performed by Dr. Kenji Oyama who went on to become the supervillain, Dark Wind, in the comics so it's possible we would have played some part in Season 4.
