When T’Challa became Star-Lord, not only did he change the morals and code of Yondu and his group of Ravagers, he changed the entire universe. Whereas Peter Quill’s self assessment of legendary outlaw was gratuitous to say the least, this was a moniker genuinely earned by the Wakandan Prince.

This episode began in the same fashion as the first time Star-Lord appeared in the MCU. He was attempting to take the Orb from Morag, only to be confronted by Korath and some of Ronan’s other soldiers.

When Peter Quill revealed himself as Star-Lord, he was met with ignorance from his adversary, as Korath had never even heard the name. He simply questioned who Peter was in the same tone that earned him the reputation of one of the more serious characters in the franchise.

When T’Challa revealed himself as Star-Lord however, the usually stoic Korath simply gushed, star struck at meeting the legendary outlaw. He acted like a child meeting their hero, and his fanboy attitude was present throughout the entire episode. This certainly wasn’t the reaction T’Challa was expecting, nor was it what anyone watching was expecting either.
