What If...? - 25 Biggest WTF Moments

Of the 25 movies that have been released under the Marvel Cinematic Universe banner since 2008, there are only one or two that aren’t looked back on fondly. Aside from Thor: The Dark World, The Incredible Hulk is the obvious one.

Due to the character rights sitting with Universal there has never been much chance of a sequel, Edward Norton was recast as Bruce Banner, and no other characters made a single MCU appearance until Thunderbolt Ross was brought back in Captain America: Civil War.

Now, 13 years later, one of the major characters from the MCU’s black sheep has been brought back in What If…?. Betty Ross vanished after her appearance in 2008, seemingly to be forgotten about by fans, Marvel Studios, and Bruce Banner himself, as he moved on to pursuing a relationship with Natasha instead.

Her inclusion in episode three of What If…? was a more than welcome one, as it did feel that she had been hard done by in the franchise. Though it wasn’t Liv Tyler who lent her voice to the character, seeing Thunderbolt’s daughter return to our screens was a wonderful surprise.
